Time to spare
What to do when your partner is spending all her time on eggs?
Nape enjoying himself flying around, fouraging, sitting on a high branch of a Black Poplar (Populus nigra). These trees are very high and the upper branches move in the wind. When a Jackdaw (Corvus monedula) flies over Nape reacts with vocalisation. The Jackdaw seems interested and hangs around Nape for a while.
When Toos refuses to come out of the nest Nape will fourage alone. A couple of time’s a day Toos joins him. They fly around together while vocalizing and will fourage in nearby trees.
